MRG Document Technologies’ Attorney Addresses Dodd-Frank Implications

DALLAS, June 30, 2011 MRG Document Technologies (MRG) , a provider of mortgage document preparation software and loan document packages to banks, credit unions and other lenders nationwide, announced that Marsha Williams, an attorney with the firm, was recently a panelist at the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA) Legal Issues and Regulatory Compliance Conference.

Williams spoke to conference attendees regarding the changes to disclosures that lenders will see as a result of the Dodd-Frank Act, other legislation and pending regulations. The panel provided an overview of the number of disclosures being required by Dodd-Frank, how both originators and servicers will be affected and how lenders should start preparing for the changes. Williams also spoke about the specific borrower disclosures being required on the state level.

“This year’s Legal Issues and Regulatory Compliance Conference provided a wealth of information to industry attorneys, compliance officers and others who are seeking clarification on the pending regulations,” said Williams. “We strive to keep our clients updated not only on federal-level regulations, but also on those rules being mandated in the states in which they operate. There is a wide array of changes facing all mortgage professionals and MRG is proud to work with industry organizations to educate lenders on how they will be impacted and the best ways to adjust their operations.“
